SUMMARY:Agile Project Management with Scrum
DESCRIPTION:Agile project management is currently a widely discussed topic. Scrum is the leading methodology in this field and is already extensively used in software development. Hardware development is following suit, and more and more manufacturing companies are adopting this framework—either in its pure form or as a hybrid combined with traditional project management approaches. The goal of this workshop is to familiarize participants with the Scrum method, helping them understand and apply it. Starting from the fundamental principles and values of agility, all relevant elements of Scrum—including flow, roles, and artifacts—are not only conveyed theoretically but also applied through simulations, exercises, and a continuous case study.Additionally, the seminar highlights the differences between traditional and agile project approaches, enabling participants to assess which approach is suitable for different project types.Agile tools such as time boxing, Kanban, and Lean Coffee are also employed to illustrate the underlying agile values and further enhance understanding of the Scrum framework.\nLearning results:\n - What is Agility?\n\n\n\nRelevance\nHistory\nThe Agile Manifesto\nAgile Values\nComparison of Project Management Approaches (Traditional vs Agile)\n\n\n\n - Scrum Roles\n\n\n\nScrum Master\nProduct Owner\nDevelopment Team\nExternal Roles: Management, Customer, Key User\n\n\n\n - Scrum Flow – Tactical & Operational - Team Motivation and Behavior, Self-Organization - Developing (Product) Visions - User Stories\n\n\n\nPersonas\nStructuring User Stories\nStory Readiness\nEstimation & Prioritization\nDefinition of Done\n\n\n\n - Meetings\n\n\n\nSprint Planning I & II\nDaily Scrum\nSprint Review\nSprint Retrospective\nRefinement Meeting\n\n\n\n - Artifacts & Tools\n\n\n\nProduct Backlog\nSprint Backlog\nTask Board\nKanban\n\n\n\nMethods:\n\nLectures and discussions\nPractical group exercises\nHands-on Scrum cycle simulation based on a concrete case study\nAgile simulations to reinforce key principles\nUse of agile methods (e.g., Lean Coffee, Kanban, Time Boxing) to convey Scrum concepts\n\nBenefits:Participants will:• Understand the fundamentals of the Scrum framework for agile project management.• Learn where and how Scrum can be implemented in teams and organizations.• Gain the ability to introduce and apply Scrum effectively.
